External reporting offices
The Whistleblower Protection Act grants a right of choice to persons who intend to file a report. You may contact an internal reporting office or an external federal or state reporting office. But please bear in mind that your request can be processed directly by an internal reporting office.
The Whistleblower Protection Act stipulates that you should preferably contact an internal reporting office if this office is able to take effective action against the violation and whistleblowers do not have to fear reprisals (Section 7(1) HinSchG).
We are explicitly committed to protecting all whistleblowers from reprisals, so our internal reporting office follows up on all relevant information received.
External federal reporting offices are currently established
- at the Federal Office of Justice (Bundesamt für Justiz)
- the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht) and
- the Federal Cartel Office (Bundeskartellamt).
All information on the responsibilities of the external reporting offices and how to contact them is available on the website of the Federal Office of Justice:
